Patient Information
The necessary test results, that the patient candidate needs to submit per case, are:
CABG (Coronary artery bypass grafts)
- Recent full blood count, chem7, creatinine, urea, K+, Na+
- Recent chest X-ray
- CD of the coronary angiography or CTCA (Chest Tomography Coronary Angiography)
- Recent 2D-echocardiogram
- Recent spirometry – for patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)/heavy smokers
AVR (Aortic valve replacement)
- Recent full blood count, chem7, creatinine, urea, K+, Na+
- Recent chest X-ray
- CD of the coronary angiography or CTCA (Chest Tomography Coronary Angiography)
- Recent 2D- echocardiogram
- Recent spirometry – for patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)/heavy smokers
- Chest CT without contrast (if CTCA not available)
MV repair / MV replacement (Mitral Valve repair / Mitral valve replacement) or isolated tricuspid valve repair
- Recent full blood count, chem7, creatinine, urea, K+, Na+
- Recent chest X-ray
- CD of the coronary angiography or CTCA (Chest Tomography Coronary Angiography)
- Recent 2D- echocardiogram
- Recent TOE (Transoesophageal Echocardiogram)
- Recent spirometry – for patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)/heavy smokers
- Chest CT without contrast (if CTCA not available). Necessary for endoscopic mitral or endoscopic valve repair
Ascending aorta replacement
- Recent full blood count, chem7, creatinine, urea, K+, Na+
- Recent chest X-ray
- CD of the coronary angiography or CTCA (Chest Tomography Coronary Angiography)
- Recent 2D- echocardiogram
- Recent CT angiogram of the thoracic aorta
- Recent spirometry – for patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)/heavy smokers
