Patient Information


The necessary test results, that the patient candidate needs to submit per case, are:

CABG (Coronary artery bypass grafts)

  • Recent full blood count, chem7, creatinine, urea, K+, Na+
  • Recent chest X-ray
  • CD of the coronary angiography or CTCA (Chest Tomography Coronary Angiography)
  • Recent 2D-echocardiogram
  • Recent spirometry – for patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)/heavy smokers

AVR (Aortic valve replacement)

  • Recent full blood count, chem7, creatinine, urea, K+, Na+
  • Recent chest X-ray
  • CD of the coronary angiography or CTCA (Chest Tomography Coronary Angiography)
  • Recent 2D- echocardiogram
  • Recent spirometry – for patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)/heavy smokers
  • Chest CT without contrast (if CTCA not available)

 

MV repair / MV replacement (Mitral Valve repair / Mitral valve replacement) or isolated tricuspid valve repair

  • Recent full blood count, chem7, creatinine, urea, K+, Na+
  • Recent chest X-ray
  • CD of the coronary angiography or CTCA (Chest Tomography Coronary Angiography)
  • Recent 2D- echocardiogram
  • Recent TOE (Transoesophageal Echocardiogram)
  • Recent spirometry – for patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)/heavy smokers
  • Chest CT without contrast (if CTCA not available). Necessary for endoscopic mitral or endoscopic valve repair

Ascending aorta replacement

  • Recent full blood count, chem7, creatinine, urea, K+, Na+
  • Recent chest X-ray
  • CD of the coronary angiography or CTCA (Chest Tomography Coronary Angiography)
  • Recent 2D- echocardiogram
  • Recent CT angiogram of the thoracic aorta
  • Recent spirometry – for patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)/heavy smokers
