My dear friend George,
thank you for your level of professionalism, composure and the excellent job you did!
It’s been twelve weeks since surgery with the recovery process going great and my return to everyday life being a definite fact.
The quality of my life is restored and I am particularly grateful to you for this as it could not have happened without your contribution.
I wish you to always be well and help the people around you as you helped me.
It’s been a year since I first met my doctor and following the surgery (triple bypass) I feel and look better than I ever have.
A big THANK YOU to, the person and doctor, George Gritsopoulos who from the first moment, and each and every time, was there both emotionally and medically and who will never stop being there for me.
May you always be well my doctor (George) – always the same person and doctor.
Thank you from the bottom of my “HEART”.
It was one of the most difficult times of my life but I had the good fortune to meet cardiac surgeon George Gritsopoulos.
Thanks to him I managed to overcome my health problem, after a successful aortic valve replacement. I feel the need to thank him and wish him to be healthy in order to offer his services to all of us.
Thank you very much my friend George.
To the greatest heart surgeon and human being. To an exceptional doctor who stood by us, from the very beginning, through our issue and breathed life back into my father. There are not enough words to express everything he has done for us.
May you always be in good health and keep on giving life and joy to people.
He is a remarkable doctor with tremendous skills. A human being first and foremost-approachable, cheerful and genuine, with a keen eye for detail and a high level of attentiveness to the patient.
Doctor, I am deeply grateful to you. I am truly fortunate to have been born again at your hands.
Thank you for everything.
I would like to express my gratitude to the doctor for his extensive support and treatment of the health issue I was facing due to my heart condition.
I would like to thank my doctor for making it possible for me to be able to continue to live and embrace my loved ones. With much heartfelt love, Christos, to my friend George.
We want to thank Dr. Gritsopoulos from the bottom of our hearts (literally!) for the exceptionally successful outcome of the very difficult open-heart reoperation, for myxoma removal, performed on my elderly mother.
The doctor was truly committed, not only from a scientific standpoint, but also in terms of the strong interest he showed towards the patient throughout his follow-up with her. Dr. Gritsopoulos, I sincerely thank you and wish you always such great success!
My dear doctor – my dear friend George,
I have no words to thank you for all that you have done for me, regarding the serious health problem that I had to face. In addition to the successful surgery, you were and still are there for me at all times, no matter what I need – which is so very important for someone who has had a heart valve replacement and pretty much lives in fear.
Thank you so much for the new life you have given me!
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Dr. George Gritsopoulos for the successful resolution of my personal health issue. Although we met under unfortunate and challenging circumstances, due to the pressing nature of my problem, Dr. Gritsopoulos instantly inspired immense trust and a sense of comfort in me, knowing that I was now in his very capable hands. Dr. Gritsopoulos was always by my side throughout my hospitalization, the open-heart surgery and recovery. Dr. Gritsopoulos, thank you for everything…
I am so thankful to the charismatic scientist and man Dr. George Gritsopoulos. Thank you for giving me back my life!!!!
Bless you!
I would like to extend my warmest thanks to Dr. Gritsopoulos, not only for his outstanding scientific training, but especially for his overall approach to his patients, with compassion and empathy.
My 76-year-old father was diagnosed with left main stenosis during a routine check-up – without any prior indications. Our family cardiologist highly recommended Dr. Gritsopoulos and his team as the best possible option. Indeed, when we met him, he immediately gained our trust with his sincerity and integrity of character. There was of course no doubt whatsoever regarding his expertise; his professional resume and feedback received were quite compelling.
Due to the urgent nature and extent of the damage, Dr. Gritsopoulos saw to it that the surgery was scheduled immediately. My father’s surgery (double bypass) was a complete success and he had a much better recovery than expected! Dr. Gritsopoulos was always there for us and his support was very helpful not only from a strictly medical perspective, but also from the psychological aspect for the patient and our family.
Dr. Gritsopoulos, we are grateful to you!
A huge thank you is surely not enough to express my unlimited gratitude to the remarkable man and scientist Dr. George Gritsopoulos. In August 2022, having experienced a major health problem, I was anxiously seeking a cardiac surgeon. Despite my bad luck, I was very fortunate that my cardiologist referred me to Dr. Gritsopoulos. I was urgently admitted to the Medical Center and Dr. Gritsopoulos successfully performed the double bypass surgery.
During the entire post-operative recovery period, Dr. Gritsopoulos was there for me and my family and treated us with courtesy, thoughtfulness, and genuine concern. Suffice to say that I now consider you as part of my family! Thank you, Dr. Gritsopoulos.
I wish to thank, from the bottom of my healthy heart, the exceptional Dr. George Gritsopoulos. Not only an excellent doctor, but also a person with a rare character filled with kindness, nobility and integrity. A doctor whose principles and ethos make me feel genuinely grateful to have met.
Thank you for everything!

- 27th October 2021: After a brief investigation for a heart surgeon, I visited at the Medical Center Dr. George Gritsopoulos “cardiac surgeon” with whom I discussed and agreed to be operated on the 2nd of November 2021.
- 2nd November 2021: I was successfully operated at the Medical Center.
- 3rd November 2021: I was asked in the ICU who was the surgeon who gave me the second opportunity in life to be with my beloved ones again.
Cardiac surgeon Dr. George Gritsopoulos.
Thank you is the least you can say to someone being by your side morally, physically and psychologically.
A huge thank you and appreciation to the excellent medical team and nursing staff.
I feel lucky trusting people like you.
I wish you always to have the strength and the ability to treat your patients, as you always do, at the Kifissia’s Medical Center too.

My experience regarding my acquaintance with Dr. George Gritsopoulos
My many years of professional activities with the intense presence of daily stress, combined with an aggravated heredity and a mild procrastination-neglecting my regular cardiological examination, contributed to the serious heart problem that affected me.
The cardiologist I visited (unfortunately not as often as I should) explained to me that I should consider myself particularly lucky because, although the condition of my arteries was now dangerously aggravated, I had not suffered a serious episode yet. The tests I underwent showed that time was clearly working against me.
While urgently searching for a cardiac surgeon who would inspire my trust, among all the well-known doctors in Athens, Dr. George Gritsopoulos, although relatively young in age, had already a remarkable career and experience in Greece as well as in England and the U.S.A. He was the one who attracted my interest.
The initial phone conversation confirmed my intuition and after my immediate meeting with him at the Psichiko Medical Center, I appreciated his scientific competence combined with his directness, kindness and sincerity.
We agreed on the immediate scheduling of surgery and, in the period leading up to my admission to the hospital, my almost daily communication with Dr. Gritsopoulos confirmed the correctness of my choice.
The operation was successfully completed and throughout the postoperative period Dr. Gritsopoulos’ presence and interest was continuous, substantial and always reassuring.
Today, 35 days after the operation, and while I am in the last stage of recovering, I feel stronger every day thanking my luck for helping me overcome the problem without any further damage. I truly express my unlimited trust and appreciation to Dr. Gritsopoulos whom I highly recommend with the certainty that his scientific competence combined with the qualities of his character such as kindness, honesty for humanity that govern him, will gain any person’s trust.
I would like to thank the person and the physician Dr. Gritsopoulos for the way he handled our case. In September 2015, he successfully operated on my 79-year-old father and has always been and he continues to be at his side to this day. His compassion and concern for his patients and his professionalism are unparalleled.
Dr. Gritsopoulos is an exceptional person who inspires trust and confidence with his integrity and character! I would like to once again thank Dr. Gritsopoulos for the difficult operation he performed on my mother 3 years ago (6.8 cm ascending aorta aneurysm). From the bottom of my heart, I wish nothing but the best for you and your family.
An exceptional doctor and an exceptional person. Dr. Gritsopoulos takes a personal interest in his patients, treating each case with a great deal of responsibility and proficiency! My operation was an absolute success. I would like to thank Dr. Gritsopoulos for all he did for me.
My family and I would like to thank Dr. Gritsopoulos for the difficult surgery I underwent in May 2013 at the Athens Medical Centre to replace an aorta. I would like to express my sincerest gratitude and respect, as well as my heartfelt appreciation, to Dr. Gritsopoulos.
Thank you very much for the personal care and attention you showed, as well as for your professional consistency and proficiency.
I would like to sincerely thank, from the bottom of my heart, the exceptional doctor and above all person, the cardiologist of the Psichiko Clinic Dr. Gritsopoulos, for the successful heart surgery (triple bypass) he performed on my 78-year-old father Mr Theofilos Sarakostianos on March 8, 2018. Thanks to his exceptional training and experience, and with the help of God, my father is 90 years old today, in excellent health and is able to enjoy the time he spends with his children and grandchildren. We will always remember you fondly and we will always be grateful!
I am forever indebted to the person, doctor and friend Dr. Gritsopoulos. My name is Emmanouil Thalassinakis. I was diagnosed with a heart tumor, a rare but not an unlikely phenomenon. Following an initial diagnosis by the cardiologist who was following my condition, he urged me to see Dr. Gritsopoulos who successfully operated on me on May 26, 2016 at the Psichiko Clinic. I would like to thank you Dr. Gritsopoulos for everything you did for me during this very difficult time in my life. Your professional sensitivity is what always distinguishes you. I wish you health, happiness and creativity. My most sincere wishes for many successes in everything you do.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Gritsopoulos for the life he helped me regain these last four years. This exceptional person and doctor operated on me after I was diagnosed with multiple arterial stenosis in the heart (more than 90%), when the previous doctors I had consulted did not give me any chance due to my advanced age (85 years old). The operation was a success and I was released from the hospital a few days later. Four years have passed since then and thanks to Dr. Gritsopoulos I can enjoy my life without any problems. Thank you Dr. Gritsopoulos for the compassion you showed, and for your love, your care and your patience and, of course, I cannot overlook your extensive knowledge of your field. I wish there were more doctors like you. I’m grateful for all you have done for me.
My dearest, dearest doctor! I consider myself very lucky to had met you at a very difficult time in my life. You gave me a new heart–of course, I do have some reservations as to whether on the “table of the operating freezer” you didn’t simply put the same heart back after 11 hours of surgery! I do have to say, however, that you helped me feel 18 years old again! Thank you, once again, from the bottom of my young heart and I wish you nothing but success in the difficult, but godly, work you do with such devotion and self-sacrifice. Thank you!
I would like to thank the exceptional doctor and above all exceptional person Dr. Gritsopoulos for the remarkable effort he made to keep me alive in April 2014 when, due to my own negligence, I found myself with a significant cardiac arch and ejection fraction of 33% from a total failure (90%) of the mitral valve from a tear of the muscles and incipient pulmonary edema. One Monday night, in mid-April 2014, I was urgently admitted to the Psichiko Clinic where the doctors immediately diagnosed my illness and I did all the necessary tests. On Wednesday evening, I underwent surgery despite the dangerously high cardiac arch. Under these very difficult conditions I was released from the hospital with a new valve, and I fully recovered after 10 days! I owe all the days I have lived from that day on to the person who helped me stay alive and who improved the quality of my life so that I can continue doing what I love most: gardening, shopping and cooking for my family.
Today, I am 85 years old and after 7 years I can enjoy a beautiful life.
I would like to thank Dr. Gritsopoulos, Cardiac Surgeon–Director of the Cardiology Department of the Psichiko Clinic, for saving my life. In December 2019, I had a serious heart problem. After a number of tests and following a coronarography, which revealed the severity of my situation, it was a very difficult time for me because I had to be urgently taken by ambulance to a hospital to undergo a coronary artery bypass. Thankfully, a friend of mine who was a cardiologist referred me to Dr. Gritsopoulos, an exceptional cardiologist and above all an exceptional person. Because I have suffered a lot not only due to health issues but also due to the way in which the doctors had handled my situation, I would like to say that health problems are an extremely difficult time for patients who need comfort and a kind, reassuring word to give them courage and strength during their time in need. When I contacted Dr. Gritsopoulos, he spoke to me as if I were his father, which is something that I will never forget. I was immediately admitted to the Cardiac Surgery Department of the Psichiko Clinic and, in two days, I underwent a double bypass. I was fortunate in my misfortunate in that I was lucky to find this exceptional person and very capable doctor at a very difficult time in my life. Whatever I needed and whatever the time, I would call him without hesitation and he would answer my questions politely and with a genuine interest. I am 73 years old, and I can honestly say that it is rare to meet a Person –with a capital letter– like Dr. Gritsopoulos. Dr. Gritsopoulos, i hope you will always be in good health and continue to help people through your work.
Dear Dr. Gritsopoulos,
greetings! I would like to thank you for your interest in my health situation and the support you gave to my children with your concern while they waited alone outside the operating room, not knowing what the next day would be like.
I wish you always to stay strong and healthy to be by our side!!
